I have installed s2Member Pro and I have a PayPal Website Payments Pro account. I'm restricting specific post/pages, and I've created the PayPal Pro Form. It appears to work, except when I conduct a test transaction using PayPal as the payment option, I'm redirected to PayPal.com, just like before when I was using the free version. This is frustrating and confusing.

I've provided Sandbox API credentials, which appear to be working correctly. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

It's my understanding that if you choose to pay with PayPal, then you're taken to the PayPal website.

The pro-form with PayPal Pro lets the user pay with cards instead of his PayPal account, which would not take him to the PayPal website.

Are you taken to PayPal if you choose a payment method that isn't a PayPal account?

I think you are correct, and that I was mistaken about the way that Website Payments Pro works. I did some additional research, and it appears that if the buyer chooses PayPal they are always redirected to PayPal.com. This means my installation of s2member pro is working correctly after all... but I can't help but wonder why PayPal Pro works that way. Why don't they let you stay on site for PayPal just like the credit cards?

Well, to pay with their PayPal account they need to login to it, thus go to the PayPal website to do it. I guess a way to do it outside PayPal.com should be possible, but I guess they want users to keep coming to the website, probably part of their branding strategy.
