What I mean is; wherever I place "success", does it reflect what the return redirect is that I have set in PayPal? Do I turn auto redirect OFF in PayPal?

Hello guys, I'm back, and I really need some help. I've established a few things in the last few hours of working on this site.

https://dollarapagescriptreading.com/

1. The site WILL NOT redirect to a specified thank-you page no matter what I do.
a. I've inserted the "success" code into the actual page that "calls" PayPal for the payment.
b. I have auto return enabled in PayPal settings with the "thank-you" URL set for redirect to that page (in PayPal).

2. The other thing I've noticed, that after I pay, there is a link that directs me back to a WP login that would essentially take the user where they wanted to go, but I don't like how it looks. I want them to go to the "thank-you" page. I've attached a screen shot that shows what happens when payment is made. It shows the login that actually wasn't there before. I'm not sure what it is, but the inspect element says it's an S2member thing.

the failed redirect

3. Also I'll attach a screen shot of the "thank-you" page so you can see what the user is suppose to see.

thank you page

I really don't know how detailed I need to be here, but I feel like I've went above and beyond explaining this. All I want is for the site to work correctly, and I'm 99% there! I hope my input here will tell you the right info in order to help me with this last step.

Thank you. It sounds like you *might* be seeing a bug that is currently being analyzed in this thread.

Well, I had a friend help me, and he somehow put the right string in: "success". I have no idea, because I did it the exact same way before.

I also had this arrise here recently with someone on my site:

Error# 15005

Really not sure why, but it didn't accept the card. What do you make out of that? I know it's denial code of some sort But how it relates to S2, I have no clue...

Thanks for the follow-up.

Here is the detail regarding the error code #15005.
You will find these error codes documented at length inside paypal-pro-api.pdf, which is included with /s2m-pro-extras.zip, available inside your account at s2Member.com.
Code: Select all
15005 Processor Decline
This transaction cannot be processed. The transaction was declined by the issuing bank, not PayPal. The merchant should attempt another card.

Thanks for your quick follow up too. So is this error because the card is bad? Or insufficient funds?

Hard to know for sure. We only go by what PayPal documents, and that description you see is all they provide. It looks like just a general card decline to me. It could be for any number of reasons.

Well the guy that was paying wasn't using a "bum" card. lol I don't know man... I'm just glad to get this worked out up to this point. This website was the hardest one I've ever taken on.

Hi All, quick question here. This is probably one of the very few forum post that mention the error I'm facing.

"Error #10501. Invalid Configuration. This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration."

Is there any kind of checklist to troubleshoot what could be happening here?

I think I've read not having the SSL set up so far won't affect, or could this be the reason for this?

Any particular fields I should look into paypal set up?

I know you guys are fast responder and I'm sorry I didn't post this earlier but I was digging into reading the forum before posting is just that I'm facing a deadline now and not sure what's the best (fastest) approach for this.

I know just basic knowledge relating to this plugin, but I believe you do have to have that set up. I may be mistaken however.

Well yes. I'm sure it has to be set up for it to function, however I just wanted to make sure that not having it is not the reason to received specifically that error message.

According to PayPal's documentation, Error #10501 means the following:
SNAG-0013.png
SNAG-0013.png (17.99 KiB) Viewed 395 times

If this problem continues, please post the Pro Form Shortcode that resulted in this error, along with any log entries you have inside /s2member/paypal-api.log related to this API communication with PayPal. I'll be happy to review this with you.

Jason thank you very much for your reply. You and Christian are awesome when support and answers are needed.

After further checking I confirmed that my customer's paypal account was not upgraded to PRO account, although I thought this could work with a 'business' account seem like is not really the same, huh?

Jason I wonder if something had change with paypal? Not sure if you are aware of it but this is now urgent.

My client's account was upgraded to PRO (that was the initial issue) but now when I login to website preferences and REQUEST API CREDENTIALS I'm only given user name and password, NO SIGNATURE. Nothing else had chance on my end but I now get an error message:

"Error #10002. Authentication/Authorization Failed. Username/Password is incorrect."

I fund another thread in your site related to it ( viewtopic.php?f=4&t=14626&p=32508&hilit=Error+%2310002.+Authentication%2FAuthorization+Failed.&sid=d91ff4011756463db9a6fdb91fd5ff49#p32444 ) but my case don't see to be the same so I wonder if something has changed in paypal since I'm not given with a signature string and I've done this many times before.

My bad! I didn't understand the info in the thread I referred to before. That was totally right, I just recreate it from scratch and is all working now.
