Can't Login, Error: Password Incorrect; when S2Member Active

Postby foodin65 » July 27th, 2011, 10:10 pm

Hey All,

I've got an issue...

Have a site using s2Member Pro. http://www.FloristOverstock.net

I was having a problem logging in to the site, getting a password is incorrect error. After double, and tripple checking the password and even resetting the password, I still could not login to the admin account (only account on site right now).

So I started disabling plugins to see if one was the problem and it turns out that s2Member is the problem.

I've confirmed this by disabling all other plugins and trying to login with just that plugin. The only one that throws the "Password incorrect" error is when I've got s2Member active.

What should I do to fix this issue?

I'm sorry you're having that problem.

What versions of WordPress, s2Member and s2Member Pro are you running?

Thanks for reporting this important issue.
I've not been able to reproduce this on our end, but in cases of emergency, you can log into your site via FTP and delete these directories to disable s2Member competely:
Code: Select all
/wp-content/plugins/s2member/
/wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs/
/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/
If anyone has this same issue and can provide further detail, please do so.
It sounds like a plugin conflict to me.

Yep confirmed have the same issue, I can't login anymore as admin, nor as basic user, or subscriber. The last setting I have changed is to set S2members to avoid wp-admin redirection from the frontend for all users.

Hmm, your server config looks good.
You said...

What, if any, error message do you receive.
What's happening when you attempt to log in?

Have you tried this without W3 Total Cache yet?
