Can Membership Option Page Be Home Page?

I'm trying to make my membership option page my home (static) page, but it seems like this is not allowed. Is this the case? Is there a way around this?

I'd like to make my home page a sales page, where after they pay, they can create a membership and have access to training video. I don't want the visitor to have to click to another page to have to make payment more than needed.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

What I did was make my Home page the beginning of the sales letter. Then at the bottom of that (but still above the "fold"), I have a link to "Learn about _____" which is the rest of the sales letter and my official Membership Options Page.

Some conflicts can be created when setting a special s2Member page like the Membership Options Page or Login Welcome Page as the home page.

If you really need to have your home page have the same content as the MOP, you could just have the same content in both pages. Would that work?

First, thanks for the fast reply.

I suppose this would work if it lets me. I tried using the short code for the paypal button on my home page, it worked once, but when I tried to edit the image and republish, and I could not get it to work again. It would just display the short code and not the functioning button. Will the short code work on the home page?

It shouldn't be a problem, although I've known of some themes breaking shortcodes.

If you can't get the shortcode to work, then try generating the button over at PayPal following these instructions viewtopic.php?f=36&t=309#p1333

Ok, I figured out my problem, the short code works, but I'm using a reveal plugin, to have the "Buy Now" button appear a few minutes into the video. The short codes outside of the reveal code works, but when placed inside, it doesn't work.

You can see my example page here, there are 2 "buy now" buttons, the one on top is outside of the reveal code, and after 10 seconds, the button is supposed to show up below, (i did this just to show you) but all that pops up is the shortcode

I will try creating a button at paypal, I tried earlier and when I tested it, i got this error:

ERROR: Unexpected txn_type/status.
The txn_type/status did not meet requirements.
Please contact Support for assistance

But I will try some more.

Cool. Let me know how it goes.

Well, since you're using the same button, you could also copy the resulting code for the first button that's being properly shown and paste it where the second one should be.
