How to prevent subscribers from seeing s2member in Dash?

Seriously, i think this is pretty crazy. i'm hoping this isn't part of the default install, but rather something I misconfigured.
I have the latest version of WPMU. I installed the s2member and clean and I've customized the logos and stuff.
But when I sign up as a test new user (with very limited options that I configured via a User Role manager plugin), the dashboard still shows ALL of the s2member options. And ALLOWS subscribers to change them.
Awesome. how can I prevent this. All I want is a dashboard that allows for seeing posts/pages and pub'ing posts/pages. Nothing more. I have been at it for hours using every Dashboard manager under the sun (they all do the same limited amount of things...none which help me). Why would s2member allow it's settings to be seen and modified by a basic free trial subscriber?

Go to General Options | Member Profile Modifications and change the dropdown to Yes.
That'll take care of the problem for you.

That did NOT solve the problem. In fact, it was already set at Yes. The user is taken to their profile wrapped in the main site when they login, but the Dashboard bar appears on the top and when I click on the Dashboard for their blog site, it takes me into the WP Dashboard where I can set whatever I want in all of the S2Member stuff. Bad, bad, bad.....

Is this for a blog the free member created and is an admin of? Or do you mean as a free member in the main site having access to s2Member settings?

It's a a blog the free member created and I suppose that means they would be an admin of it.

So I have spent another day trying to fix this. What I would like to know is if seeing the s2Member config options is NORMAL or NOT for a free subscriber to see once they've signed up, been given a new blog and then they go into the Dashboard to publish their first post. Is this something I'm going to have to buy another tool from Primo (like a CMS theme) to fix? I was under the impression when I bought the blog farm license that s2theme and member handled this kind of access control. What I'm seeing is really concerning as it seems like it would be a HUGE, GIANT issue for anyone. Conceivably all my payment gateway info is in the Dashboard and I don't my free subscribers seeing that. All i really want is the simplest, cleanest dashboard you could imagine. Why ALL of s2Member's options show up when I login as a test user is beyond me, but I need to fix it soon. Is it a bug?

If the test user is logging in to his new blog as the admin, then he gets to see all that's in the admin area. I guess you can remove stuff from it in your theme, I don't know how that's done, though.
The s2Member instances for each blog are independent of each other and only affect the blog they're in. It's not like he's getting in his child-blog's dashboard access to your network's s2Member settings, don't worry.
