How Do I Allow Logged In Users To Create A Site?

Postby foodin65 » August 6th, 2011, 4:20 pm

I'm On the Newest version of S2Member +Pro
WP 3.2.1
Genesis 1.7 Theme Framework w/custom child theme
Multi Site Enabled
BlogFarm =True in config.php

2 Membership levels:
Level 1 - Access to Buddypress, Maximum Blogs Allowed 0
Level 2 - Access to Buddypress, Maximum Blogs Allowed 2

I need to know how to let my logged in level 2 users create their blogs?

There is no "create blog/site" link that I can find.

I've tried setting open registration to both yes and no... to no avail, there is no way for a logged in level 2 user to create a site on my multi site network that I can see. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure about this, but I do know that Open Registration has to do with allowing members to sign-up at s2Member level 0 (Free). So that shouldn't be affecting it.

Maybe try logging in as a level 2 member then going to your /wp-admin after being logged in, in order to access the Dashboard, maybe it's there?

To let them create a site when they register, you'd using /wp-signup.php instead of /wp-login.php?action=register.

Does that help?

I set up for people to create a blog through level 0 .. i did a test with fake name and when i login.. the test person also has access to my main site dashboard.... My network setting are set to allow registration and blog... I want people to become members of my site for training vids and be able to create blog also... is there a setting i missed that is allowing new sites that are created to be able to see my main site dashboard?? Thanks Scott

Do you mean they have access to the dashboard where their profile is? Or can they see everything you can? Are you sure you didn't login as the admin? Have you tried registering from another browser where you didn't work as the admin?
