Variables in Shortcodes?

We have a customer who wants to take donations, and I found this post:
viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1604

This is an example for paypal, and the customer is using authorize, can you still set up a variable in the Auth form that will allow the customer to put their own amount in?

The customer has 2000 paid members and is going to import them into S2 member. Would there be a way to import the donation amount they have already set to give from the other program (infusionsoft), or would this have to be set up again by the member?

They had one last question that I couldn't find in the email configuration, can S2Member be programmed to send a renewal email in a year for people who made a one time contribution or would that have to be done through our own email program?

Thanks for your help and forum! Theresa Powers

Alright, maybe I just need some help figuring out if S2member can take donations. I've seen a few posts but they seem more far complex than just setting up a form for donations, can an authorize form in S2 Member be set up to take donations? Is there an example I could follow, I just can't find one.

I've discovered the answers the others, so no need to reply on them. Thanks again, Theresa

Thanks for the great question.
No, I'm sorry. At this time ( i.e. s2Member Pro v110815 ), the only way to accomplish this is by creating a basic form of your own to collect the amount, and then use the technique described here to fill the amount in your Shortcode dynamically: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1604
