I have a couple pre-sale questions which hopefully you can answer to determine whether or not s2Member Pro is the solution I need for my business. I run CyberChimps.com, a WordPress theme development company. We are looking for a more robust, automated solution for our theme sales and membership functionality. Probably the best way to outline what it is we are looking for is to give you an example of the user experience we are looking for, and you can tell me whether or not this can be accomplished.
A user visits our site for the first time and decides to purchase one or more of our themes. They add their selections to the shopping cart (is a shopping cart a feature of s2Member?) and check out. In the process of this purchase, they have to make a user account (tied to the WP user system) which will be their account for the members-only area and the forum. The members-only area will feature all of the products they have purchased and links to re-download them if necessary.
This account is also linked to the forum (we're switching from SimplePress to BBPress). We have a series of forums for our free themes which are open to anyone. However, we also have a series of customer-only forums which are tied to each theme that we sell. We need access to these forums restricted to customers who have purchased those particular themes. From watching the video on the BBPress bridge I could not determine whether or not access can be restricted this specifically.
If this will require some customization, I will post an ad on the job board. I simply wanted to ask if all of this was possible to either do myself or have someone do something custom. Thank you.
