Is there a description/reference out there you can point me to which clarifies the distinction/differences between IPN Integration and the API Notifications? The documentation with API Notification indicates... "Please note, this feature is not to be confused with the PayPal® IPN service." but goes not further.

I understand the integration capabilities with API Notification (after review of the videos) but am not certain of the full set of features of IPN.

The PayPal IPN service is what s2Member uses to communicate with PayPal. The Notification API is what you use to send data from s2Member to another script.

Got it! Was not sure of the depth of function S2Member IPN Integration was providing in context of implementing client-side behavior in response to payment gateway events, now understand it to be the communication pipe.
