I have Yahoo as my hosting and I have uploaded the s2member plug in and watched the videos. It says plugin is installed but there is no "settings" tab under it. nor does the drop down show up on the wordpress left side navigation area on the dashboard.

what am I doing wrong?

Hi Greg. Did you activate s2Member after installing it? Could you post a screenshot of the s2Member entry in the plugins list? WP Admin -> Plugins

btw...I have tried uploading it from the WP site and from a zipped file saved to my computer. I have also tried in different directories...even tried a different hosting account. no luck. no idea what I'm doing wrong. I used it on another site with no problems.

Thank you. Could you post a screenshot of your admin navigation sidebar?

Have you tried using the default theme (TwentyTen or TwentyEleven) as a test? If you disable the other plugins, do you still have the problem?

www.gralmy.com/sss.jpg is the new screenshot. I started in a new directory, disabled all the plugins, using twentyten with no modifications.

when I tried to update wordpress to 3.2.1 is says my version of Mysql is 4.1.14 so it cannont update. Is this the problem?

thanks for your time.

Thanks for the new screenshot. That is really weird. I'll email Jason asking him what the problem could be.

I've tried about 6 times now all with the same result. I emailed Yahoo support as I think it must be something with my hosting.

Interesting thread. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
In your Dashboard, under: Users, do you have: Users -> Add New available to you?

The reason I ask, is that it sounds like you are not logged in as an Administrator with the create_users Capability. This would prevent the entire s2Member menu from appearing in your Dashboard.

I think it was a Yahoo hosting problem. I've installed for a few sites now on Godaddy and have had no problems. Except one now...which I'm going to post a different topic for. Thanks for your help jason.
