show_user_profile Blocking Content

I use a custom profile edit page for my theme. The theme uses "show_user_profile" tag to show the user content on there edit profile page. The code that this plugin places in that tag blocks all other content and wont let the page load. Is there anything i can do to make this work?

Hi Eric.

Could you explain what plugin places what code in what tag? I'm a little confused.

You're not talking about s2Member's [s2Member-Profile /] right?

Nope im talking about the plugin itself without using at shortcodes. Soon has i activate the plugin my profile pages go blank and will not load. When i look at my profile template and delete the "show_user_profile" line it works fine but wont show up any custom fields.

I see. I guess your theme's profile page is not compatible with s2Member. You could create a new profile page using s2Member's profile shortcode then. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Member Profile Modification

I hope that helps. :)

Not really, i created the custom profile page becouse i needed to add things my site needs, if i use the profile page created by the plugin.. i still have an issue. Ill just look for another plugin that will fit my needs. thanks guys.

PS: I would like to add that its sad that you guys created such a great plugin only to make it un usable by me for something so silly. Should be at least a way to disable the injection.

It's very probable that your theme and s2Member and work together, it'd be a matter of finding what exactly is the incompatibility to find a way to fix it.

We try to help everyone use s2Member successfully but we don't have your theme to work with and this is really a customization that you need.

I suggest you get help from a developer if you don't know PHP yourself. You can find freelance developers in websites like jobs.wordpress.net, oDesk.com or eLance.com.

I dont have a lot of money to hire anyone, much easier just to find another plugin that dont try to control the user profiles so much.
