Importing members error

I searched the forums but couldn't find a solution.

I exported the .csv file from s2member "Default CSV perfectly formatted for re-importation"

I opened in excel, did my business, saved, tried to import and it says:
Catchable fatal error: Object of class __PHP_Incomplete_Class could not be converted to string in /home/street/public_html/ca/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1486

I chopped it down to 98 rows. Tried removing the column headers (like username, email, etc). Same problem.

When I open up the file in notepad it looks different than in excel:
372,besus,,andrew,lastname,andrew lastname,email@hotmail.com,,s2member_level1,,11/10/2010,,,,,I-ASD23434S,paypal,,

So not sure what's going on here...

When I save the file in excel after editing it asks me:
"import.csv may contain features that are not compatible with CSV (Comma delimited). Do you want to keep the workbook in this format?
-To keep this format, which leaves out any incompatible features, click Yes
-To preserve the features, click No. Then save a copy in the latest excel format.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

I tried exporting then importing immediately without even opening/editing the file and got the same error...

The import tool handles up to 100 lines per file and it should have worked with 98 rows. The error is in a WordPress file, not s2Member's, not sure what to make of it.

Could you try with only a few test rows in the import window?

Thank you for the response.

I believe I've pinpointed the issue. It seems to be a problem with updating current users.

Whenever the ID field is filled, I get the above mentioned error. When it's not filled, it works. Well, it doesn't work because I need the ID field to update the users. If I don't fill in the ID field, it will return an error such as "User natt234 already exists".

Even if we got this issue fixed, I can't figure out how I can open up the csv export properly so that I can past in a row of mods to the file because excel and OpenOffice both ruin the structure when saving...

Update:

I've spent the past 2 hours trying to get OpenOffice and Excel to correctly export the csv file. I would love to know how in the world to do this as nearly every single option I've tried in "edit formatting" in OO does not work. Either missing commas or quotations or too many... Seems impossible!

Ah, this is really frustrating. I get the same error when I manually edit my user's profiles as well. I can't even add the PayPal ID...

Update:

Seemed to have fixed it with this: http://webdesign.anmari.com/1895/wordpr ... -problems/
