PayPal Buttons Generator Not Working Properly

Postby TaraPhelps » August 30th, 2011, 11:37 am

I seem to have a problem with the Paypal Button Generator. For all of my levels I am able to input my specific payment requirements. However, when I select "Generate Button Code", the shortcode is produced but the long form is deleted and no icon (test button) is generated in the button space provided. I have attached what the screen looks like after I press the Generate Button Code.

I have tested the short code and it seems to work, however I need to use the long code as I wish to utilize a different button style and format. If anyone can help with the formatting of the long code and what the different parameters mean it'd be much appreciated. (I looked up the short codes but they don't correspond to the long form.)

Right now, I'm dead in the water until I can figure out what's going on with my long code disappearing.
Thanks!

Copy the code before it gets deleted and put it back in. That's the best solution I can think of until a more tech minded person has a better answer.

Copying the code does not include the needed changes. The generator is supposed to put in the parameters for how you want the payments to be made, but is somehow deleting all the long code.

Hi Tara.

You may have a JavaScript conflict causing that problem with the generator. To find where the conflict is, you can try changing the theme to TwentyEleven, or disable other plugins one-by-one until the generator works. http://www.s2member.com/options-page-di ... ing-video/

By the way, you can change the button's image using the shortcode attribute for it. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Buttons -> Shortcode Attributes -> image

I hope that helps.
