Advanced Conditionals

Postby GhostCav » August 30th, 2011, 4:17 pm

I have searched and read many posts on how to do this, but each posts stops just short of explaining enough detail to help me. I currently have my site set up for Free membership only. I wanted to keep the excerpts on the homepage as is and when a non-member clicks on the article, they see about 80% of the article with a "...Want to read more? Sign up for free here!" Now, I'm assuming the Advanced Conditionals does this, but I need it to be AUTOMATIC and I read this needs to be done in the template files. My question is....WHERE? What file do I need to alter and at what position? I'm usually really good at figuring this stuff out, but I must be getting old!

Haven't tried it, but maybe this hook would let you do that? http://adambrown.info/p/wp_hooks/hook/d ... s/post.php
