Hi,

I should like to know if I can set 3 access levels:

1) a non registration level (for non registered users)
2) a free registered level (for free registered members)
3) a premium level (for pay registered members)

How can I set it ?

Many thanks!

Hi, I'm Eduan.
Yes you can, the non-registration level is for users that haven't even registered,
the free registered level is called "level 0" and is automatically free (can't be paid),
and the premium level would be the one called "level 1".

As to how to set them and configure the level access restriction, here's a link:
http://www.s2member.com/videos/
It's the link to the official tutorial videos.

Hope this helps ;) .

Hi Eduan,

Thank you for your answer. I will take a look, but I think I understand it...
In the meantime can I have the registering form in a widget on the right side of the site ?

Many thanks

I believe you have to have your registration page (explained in the videos) and your login page as pages and not as Widgets. Though I'm sure Cristián can answer you fully.

One question, did the registered and non registered members, have access to the same content ?
How can I set that unregistered users, don't access to level0 members (registered ones) content ?

Many thanks!

No, unregistered users cannot see level 0 protected pages.
If you see the video about blocking content you can see that as long as you configure it so that only level 0 members can see the protected content, if the person is not a registered user he cannot see it (naturally higher level members will be able to see it :) ).

Here's the link to the video about blocking some content:

I already saw those movies. And protect a category and tag to be available only for level0 members.
The problem now is that on the site front/home page (the one that display the latest post), both posts level0 and non level0 are visible

Thanks

Are you entering as an Admin (your account) or as a test account?
the Admin can see everything, after all he creates it :D .
But if you want to test the webpage remember to see your website from the level you want to test it with ;) .

Yes I'm testing in other browser.
Now I only set restrict categories to "all", but on home page can still see all the posts ... :(

Please take a look on: contacalada.com

Thanks!

Is everything supposed to be protected?
Or only parts of it?

P.S. Everything looks nice in your page :) .

At this moment, I had set that on Restriction options/Tag access restrictions/Tags That Require Level #0 Or Higher to tag "FREE1".
If you visit the site without registering you can check that the landing page and the "trades abertos" menu both have posts with the free1 tag

Thanks

Are you sure it's you configured the tag restrictions correctly?
If so maybe it's a plugin conflict, deactivate one at a time until the problem stops, when it stops it means that plugin is causing a conflict with s2Member.

Yes, I just put the tag "free1" on Restriction options/Tag access restrictions/Tags That Require Level #0 Or Higher...

I already do this too, with no luck...

Can I send you by PM user and pass to access the site back end ?

Many thanks

No sorry I don't like to get in that kind of compromise.
Though you could send me screen-shots so that I can see what's wrong.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Oh one more thing, are you using a current version wordpress and s2Member?
I would check because maybe it's a bug they already fixed in a newer version.

Hi Leonel. You can control what shows in your post lists with the Alt. Views setting. WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options -> Alternative Views

This video may help: http://www.s2member.com/content-restric ... ble-video/

I see you found the login widgets thread, thanks Eduan for pointing him to it. About having a registration widget, s2Member Pro has a free registration pro-form which you could use in a Text widget. WP Admin -> s2member -> PayPal Pro-Forms -> Free Registration

I hope that helps. :)

Hi Cristián,

That solves the problem, I changed it that option to Yes and voilá. (very well explained on the video4)

Many thanks!
