paypal code generator for level #1 access

Postby precisionscott » September 8th, 2011, 11:34 pm

I am using s2member pro and when i create a button and click on the preview button to the left of the generated code it tells me "The seller accepts encrypted website payments only. You cannot pay the seller through un-encrypted buttons. Please contact your seller for more details."

Is this because the site is not live yet? Or do I have other issues somewhere in the framework?

Thanks,
Scott

I am not sure what that is all about put the button shortcode on a real page and try it from there.

That should work better

You mean the preview of the page you used the button in? Could you post a screenshot of the message you get?

If you set your PayPal to accept only encrypted buttons, you'll need to have s2Member encrypt your buttons then. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details -> Enable Button Encryption

I think he means the button image which shows at the top left of the actual button generation page which, when I tried it, does not take you to the payment page which I suppose makes sense.

Scott... I had never tried that button till last night but among other possible reasons, if you are working with the button generator you are some sort of administrator. By clicking that button, you would be going to paypal with that account to buy a lower level of access which generally would not be a good idea :)
