reformat the login welcome page

Since I have a lot of space available, I would like to have the login form reformatted so that the field name is in the same lins as the field.

Username * _____________________________________________
Email Address * __________________________________________

etc.

The page souce shows that there is a <br/> between the two elements.

I've changed those to <!-- BR /--> and the elements are still on two separate lines.

Where is this formatting done?

Do you mean the login welcome page or the login page?. The WordPress default login page can be customized a little under s2Member General Options -> Login/Registration Design.

If you want to make your own login page you'll need s2Member Pro. If you have it, under WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Pro Login Widget via PHP you'll have a tag which you can configure so that users login any way you like (you need to know some PHP, ) and you can put it on any WordPress Page that you like.

If you're talking about the login welcome page you can configure it when you make the page .

I have already "customized a little under s2Member General Options -> Login/Registration Design." It is this login page (the replacement for the standard WP login page) that I would like to change.

I have found some of what I need in the depths of the S2Member code folders in custom-reg-fields.inc.php in lines 523-527. But I had to put the data into a table to get the name to show up to the side of the input field.

I have not found out where to change the format of Username and Email fields which are the standard WP fields, but all of the others I have found.

Is there some way to use CSS to put a <label> for an <input ...> field to the side of the input field?
