Hide marketing pages from Logged In Members

Postby drewfr » September 17th, 2011, 3:22 pm

Hi,

I'm new to S2Member Pro, and it's obviously great at hiding content from people who are not logged in as members. That's awesome!

However - I want to also hide some content from people after they login - basically the general marketing and 'Why You Should Signup' pages. In other words, there's the 'non-members' area and the 'members area', and I want these to be essentially separate from each other so that they're mutually exclusive. Logged in members see logged in member pages (only!) and non-logged in users see the generic pages.

I did some searching through the documentation but how to do this was not obvious.

Thanks for your help!

You can easily use the conditionals. I use that a lot on my site. Check under API/Scripting for the codes, but here it is:

[s2If !is_user_logged_in()]
Some public content. They're NOT logged in.
A leading !exclamation means false.
This is likely where you would put any information as to "why you should buy my product" or "why you should become a member"
[/s2If]

As an example, see the main page here: http://scrapbookcampus.com
The bright yellow rectangle is only visible for those who are NOT logged in, because, obviously, if you are logged in, i dont have to convince you, do i?
