invite a friend/affiliate

I would like to do a "invite a friend" and get paid for it program. But since we do not use payments but points, I am not really sure if it will work. What I would like to do is, that you can send an e-mail invite from your or use a sign up code. When the person signs up it is tracked to the person who invited him and then when this person reaches level 2, the inviter will get a reward.
But like I mentioned we use points to reach the different levels and there are no payments involved, so not sure how to do this or if it can be done with s2member and one of the affiliate programs or another type of invite a friend.
We will do the payment manually and we could probably also check manually to see when a person who has been invited reaches level 2, but if it was automatic that would be great. But it is very important that we can see who invited who.
