Workaround for PayPal Subscription Upgrade

I am in the final stages of testing a website that has integrated the s2Member plugin. The subscription levels vary in price quite a bit ($2.50, $5.00, $10.00, etc.). I have searched and searched, but I have not found an easy way to get around PayPal's upgrade limitation on "no more than 20% every 180 days," which I find to be arbitrary and stupid. Does anyone know a way around this? Is there a possible workaround that can be put into the plugin itself?
