s2member pro & Clickbank.

Alright so i have purchased s2member pro today just because it integrate with clickbank.

i am stumbled upon a problem though, Clickbank require a Pitch page, i have set up all the options for click bank and now when i create a button i am thinking, where am i going to put it, i mean my pitch page isn't related to my WP website it is a separate sub-domain.

My question is.

Do i have to create my Pitch pages inside my WP website frame so i will get the buttons php variable ? or there is another way ?

You can probably create a separate page just for ClickBank, even if it is not listed in your navigation. Anyone with an affiliate link will be able to send potential customers directly to that page, but regular visitors to your site, will not have access to it. That is how i would have set up mine (i ended up NOT using Clickbank however in favor of another plugin).

should testing the product work ? i've tested it with a test credit card, and it brings me to the thank you page but i dont get an email from s2meber/WP that to create a new account.

That's odd. Could you post the related log entries x'ing out any private info? WP Admin -> s2Member -> ClickBank Options -> Account Details -> Enable Logging

Check all the logs, including the paypal ones.

Enabled i will now try again.

Weird thing is, after i did the first test. i got an email from -s2member/Wp about 10 minutes later, before i got that email i did another test to make sure i am not imagining to through another email, and i did not get email for the second one.

I will now try to test it again, and going to see the logs.

What exactly is your problem? No email received by the customer?

right now I dont know about other log entries... my problem is:

Paying with CB test credit card works fine and the s2member cb thank you page shows asuccessful purchase. The link on thethank you page goes to registration. I register but there is no new subscriber added to s2member or wordpress user database and I think therefor there is no email send with login details.
I dont now whats going on here. Please tell me asap if you need login details to watch the adminpanel of my site. Thanks for your help.

Include in your email a new test card generated by ClickBank to do a test purchase and see what happens.

I didn't complete a purchase, because the problem seems to be earlier than that. Your order button doesn't have the s2Member information, it's just a regular ClickBank button. Try using an s2Member generated shortcode please. WP Admin -> s2Member -> ClickBank Buttons

Also please make sure you completed the instructions/settings for the integration. WP Admin -> s2Member -> ClickBank Options

Ok, I found one single order button that was not with s2member details. All other buttons are this way:

As I wrote the problem is: after purchase and registration there are no user details inside wordpress user database!! Please try another Add to Cart Button for your test order...!

ok the problem is not s2member... a special login design plugin crashed and the register now button was without any function... after deactivation of this plugin it works.

So there is only one more thing: where can I set the options for s2members successful return to show the registration link on the clickbank thank you page instead of the notebox with the hint for email checking?

I mean: I deactivated the plugin as described above and checked the selling process again for several times. The result was, that now s2member said: thanks for your purchase please check your mails (can take up to 15 minutes) blabla... to proceed...

Where can I switch this mail thing off and turn on the link to registration? I tried it with the %%registration_url%% in the customization for the thank-you page but this goes to a 404 error after purchase...

No problem. Well done for finding the conflicting plugin!

You can change or customize the default thank-you page. WP Admin -> s2Member -> ClickBank Options -> Thank-You

Unfortunately no, this does not help.

I will explain it more detailed (I know where to customize the thank-you page )

There is a dynamic part of the thank-you page that welcomes the new customer with a given thank-you message, right? It says smething like: thanks for purchase, please register a username.
Below this message there is a button to go to the protected login-php?action=register...

This is the situation I prefer to have after a purchase. What now happens is that the customer gets a message on the dynamic part of the thank-you page that gives a hint to look for an email (that never arrives in inbox!) and the button just redirects the customer to the homepage after purchase. Why?

I mean: how can I change s2members behavior from sending email to customer after purchase to the former "thaks for your purchase, the next step is to register a username, click below..." ?

Or the other way round: what circumstances lead to the one and the other output of s2member?

Please be more detailed this time and make me see you read my question properly. I am sorry but everytime I get a standard answer not really related to my question I loose again days and days and days... so dont get me wrong, just help me out

I think I do understand what you want, bypassing the standard thank-you page completely and show the person a custom one with the message you create. What I pointed you to is the right place. In that panel, click the "optional customizations" link and then go to the bottom of that.

Does that help?

I also suggest you make sure you have logging enabled so we can get more info in case something doesn't work as expected and it'll help us debug. WP Admin -> s2Member -> ClickBank Options -> Account Details -> Enable Logging

It isn't right that they don't get an email after the purchase, the logs will help with that.

My last prob I explored:
I have three steps of content dripping: after 40, 80 and 120 days.I checked the dripping by changing admin registration date in the database... It was very confusing to find out, that the 40 days section was delivered as supposed. But the 80 and 120 day section did not appear...

Do you have any idea, why I cant see the 80 and 120 days links? I tried to look at the php code in detail... When I change it from 80 to e.g. 8 days and refresh the frontend of the page I have all content shown. When I change back to the 80day setting, the content disappears although I changed registration date to somewhere in 2010 (just to make sure the date of reg is more than the max 120 days in the past).

Any idea whats going on?

Registration date is not the same as the date the person paid, so s2Member is not checking the var you're changing, that's why it's not affecting your result. If it worked fine for the first conditions, the other conditions should be fine, you're just changing the number, the code is the same and should work again.
