Plugin upgrade has crashed WP

I tried to update the plugin and my WP has crashed. I get the error message:

Fatal error: Cannot break/continue 1 level in /home/effortle/public_html/wp-content/plugins/s2member/includes/classes/no-cache.inc.php(156) : eval()'d code on line 1

I have deleted and re-uploaded the plugin via FTP but no joy. I have s@ Member pro uploaded.

Help!

I downgraded the plugin through cpanel. The archive of old versions is here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/s2member/download/

I await a fix to this problem before upgrading.

Eduan,

Thanks, but unfortunately that information didn't work for me. I'm not sure why, but it appears that my tables are structured differently.

If I downgrade, will it overwrite all of my settings?

Thanks,
Dan

When I downgraded it didn't affect any of my settings.

Well maybe that solution is for when you have the newer version installed, so when you downgraded to solve the problem all the tables are all structured differently.

About if your settings will be overwritten when you downgrade I couldn't tell, but just in case I would make a backup copy of WordPress.

How did you downgrade the plugin thru cPannel? I can't access WPadmin to disable plugins.

A very easy way to downgrade is to access the FTP and put the old version. That's what I did and it works great. I'll wait for a fix too.

I see how you disable the plugins via PHPMyAdmin but how do you restore the older version of s2Member?

Don't need to go to PHPMyAdmin and disable the plugins. That's only if you want to fix the problem for yourself. Just download the previous version and replace S2Member by FTP.

alargeau - Thank you for this. I uploaded "110927" from here (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/s2member/download/) via FTP and it solved the problem. Back online, all my settings preserved! Your a lifesaver.

Hi everyone,

I don't know if this bears any help or not, but mine was working fine right up until I installed a plugin called inline uploader. It was from the point I activated it that everything went hay wire! I ran the following update script on the mysql back end UPDATE wp_options SET Option_value = '' WHERE Option_Name = 'active_plugins', and then activated each plugin one at a time until I found the culprit. I was very scared until I had discovered this, hopes this help folks.

Kind regards,

Miles

Yes, Same error, but when I downgraded to the previous version now I get a new error "In order to load the s2Member Pro Module, you need the s2Member Framework, v111002+". In the meantime my membership site is not functioning. Anyone else a Pro member or getting this?

Login to your s2Member.com account and then you can get the previous version of the Pro add-on: http://www.s2member.com/?s2member_file_ ... 110927.zip

I've emailed Jason about the problem, he'll fix this soon. Thanks for the reports and your patience, we're very sorry you had this trouble.
