Issue with Pro automatic upgrade on MediaTemple

Postby ryannagy » October 3rd, 2011, 11:47 am

Hi - When I try to upgrade my S2MemberPro on MediaTemple, I get the following error message:

"Not enough memory. Unzipping s2Member Pro via WordPress® requires 256MB of RAM. Please upgrade via FTP instead."

The folks at MediaTemple where not able to help me. They noted that 256MB of RAM is a lot of RAM and they were not sure why the plugin would need that much. This is not a major problem for me but as I move more of my sites to MediaTemple it could be a hassled. I would rather not manually upgrade multiple sites.

Thoughts?

- Ryan

Don't upgrade right now since there's a bug with the new version.
Once another new version comes out you can upgrade.

Now officially accepting Professional s2Member installations along with Bruce C (a.k.a. Ace).

Ryan, if you can't update using the dashboard, you can still do it via FTP. viewtopic.php?f=36&t=247

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was able to upgrade via FTP. I will double check on the automatic option now that the latest version has changed. - Ryan

I have the latest S2Member (111003) but the automatic upgrade still does not work. This is not a major issue as I can upgrade via FTP but I just wanted to report back.

Got it. I'm sorry the automatic update isn't working, but glad you can do it via FTP. Thanks for the feedback!
