HELP with: s2 Pro, Subscriptions and PayPal

I have s2 Pro, a subscription based membership site with 4 levels and PayPal Payments Standard with Enhanced Recurring Payments (which includes the necessary API credentials and the recurring billing).

I want to seamlessly offer clients a way of upgrading and downgrading without the annoying 20% rule enforced by PayPal. Since I have s2 Pro, I understand that I can use the Pro forms. I've read the tutorials, forums, watched the videos and I'm still not clear on what my requirements are with PayPal ... do I have to upgrade to PayPal Pro even though I already have API credentials and recurring billing). And if I don't have to upgrade to PayPal Pro how exactly do I integrate s2 Pro with my existing PayPal account?

I currently have Websites Payments Standard at PayPal (free), that accepts all major credit cards.
Website Payments Standard is our easiest and most popular way to accept credit cards online. Buyers don't even need a PayPal account - Major credit cards accepted - No setup charge or monthly fees

And I have Recurring Payments Advanced for an additional $20 a month
Accept Recurring Payments: Advanced (Optional, $19.99/month) - Buyers do NOT need a PayPal account - Sell Subscriptions, Automatic Billing, Installment Plans

If I apply for PayPal Pro, this is what I get:
We're sorry but Website Payments Pro and Virtual Terminal are not available for customers that have signed up for Enhanced Recurring Payments.

If you'd like to sign up for Website Payments Pro or Virtual Terminal, you'll need to cancel your Enhanced Recurring Payments package from the Recurring Payments Dashboard.

I know that you can use the pro-form without PayPal Pro, just Express Checkout. I'm not sure what to answer about pro-form and Recurring Payments Advanced. Is that another name for Enhance Recurring Payments? viewtopic.php?f=36&t=2634

Anyway, since you have s2Member Pro, you can test the pro-form with the PayPal services you have and do a test purchase and see how it works.

Thanks for the heads up on this thread.

Yes, you WILL need PayPal Pro before you can effectively avoid the 20% rule with s2Member Pro, and since your PayPal account was already upgraded with ERP (Enhanced Recurring Payments), which is NOT enough to allow for on-site credit card processing with s2Member Pro, you will need to call or write to PayPal and ask them to remove ERP from your account, and upgrade your account to PayPal Pro instead.
