Hi,

I understand that without a ERP or PayPal Pro account, there is no way to allow subscriptions to be processed without a PayPal account.

My question is, if I configure the PayPal button to be a "buy it now" one time charge that allows access for 1 year (this allows checkout without PayPal account) ---- what will happen at the end of that year if the customer wants to extend that year?

-- will they have to checkout through the system again & create a new user name?
-- can they check out again while logged in and S2Member will recognize that and extend their membership for another year?

How should this be handled?

Right, with buy-now buttons he won't need a PayPal account if you're not using PayPal Pro or ERP.

To extend the year, they just have to pay again while logged in to their accounts. This would extend the time they have paid for. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Automatic EOT Behavior -> Fixed-Term Extensions -> yes
