URI Restriction Problems

I am trying to restrict access to certain audio files. Not a page, just a file. I've tried entering the URI for all uploads as /wp-content/uploads/ but it doesn't work - I can still access the audio file when I'm logged off. I've tried entering just / at level 0, and that worked. I've tried entering a page uri at level 1, and that worked. I just can't seem to make the audio files work. Does the uri have to be from an actual page, and not just a file? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Eduan, I took a look at the videos but did not find the answer. Am I doing something wrong, or is there something flawed with s2member, or am I trying to make it do something it can't do?

¿Your problem is that you can't protect the files; That they don't work; or both?

When someone goes to my site, they go to a particular post. They can read the post whether or not they are a member, but they can listen to the audio only if they are a member. So there is a button on the post that says "Click to Listen - Subscription Required." The button links to the audio file. If the person is a member, it takes them to the audio file. If the person is not a member, it takes them to the membership options page.
So I am trying to protect the audio files by using the URI restrictions. I've tried various snippets of the URI, but it doesn't protect the audio files. When I log out and click on the "Click to Listen" button, the file is available to anyone.

Have you put the audio/video file in the protected s2Member folder?
If not this video may help:
