Is it possible to map Level 1 (paid subscriber) to a custom role in my WP blog - namely, Agent? The custom role was added by the Woo Estate theme.

Thanks for your inquiry. Not exactly, but you CAN use this plugin to add the following Capabilities to your Agent Role.
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/- Code: Select all
read
level_0
access_s2member_level0
access_s2member_level1
* This gives them the ability to access content protected at Levels 0 and 1.

Hm... you see, once a user pays via s2member... they're charged based on their level 1 role. What will happen if I change their role from S2member level 1 to Agent? Will they still be billed every month, or what would happen? Presume I already gave Agent the capabilities you mentioned.

What you've described should work just fine. Access on your site is (at least, to a degree) separate from any billing. As long as your Agent Role has the proper Capabilities that adequately fulfill the purchase/subscription being paid for by your Customer, you're good. Changing the Role of a User/Member does not affect the Paid Subscr. ID that s2Member keeps on file.
