Paypal Buttons

Postby RedbeltAlex » October 19th, 2011, 6:51 pm

I am a standard S2Member and have integrated my paypal with the S2Member plugin. I created custom buttons
and used the short code, but the code did not allow me the option to to open in a new window.

I switched to the Long code, and when I Update my page. The page changes the code, and get a weird message when going to paypal...it appears that something is not working right.

I have attached the changed code, and the results when buyers click through for your thoughts and suggestions.

Do you have a PHP Execution plugin installed? It looks like it's changing the PHP tags in the code, making it invalid.

Also you should note that has to be inserted in the HTML editor.

Yes, I insert it into the Html Editor. It happens when I Toggle between the Wyzywig and the Html editor. Kind of a bummer to need to fix the code everytime I look at the editor. I can use the short code, but is there a way to open in a new window?

Don't know, but you can disable completely the visual editor under your profile options.

If you don´t save the post in the WYSIWYG editor-mode you can toggle to preview, then you have to remember to switch back to html-mode before updating the post/page.

When I forget to switch to HTML-mode before saving I use the previous revision to revert back to working code rather than re-doing everything (update often!)

I use this awesome plugin to disable auto "fixing" of HTML...

Worth a look.
Also another one I haven't used, but is useful is Raw HTML http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/raw-html/
