ClickBank, unable to verify POST vars.

Hi Jason,

I read through all of the posts here (as well as any others I could find) and I'm having similar, yet different issues.

All of my settings are configured per normal and I initiated a few test payments via ClickBank.

The first time, I received: ERROR: Unable to verify $_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"].

Then I generated a new set of test credit card information and tried again and after payment, I was taken to the same page only it said that an email will be sent to me in not more than 15 minutes. I checked the email I registered with and ...nothing.

I appreciate your help in sorting this out.

Best Wishes,
Vic

Thanks for reporting this important issue.

Yes, this is a very common error, and usually indicates that something is wrong with your ClickBank/s2Member integration somewhere, or that your ClickBank Payment Button was not properly generated by s2Member from your Dashboard.

First, I would suggest that you enable s2Member's Logging/Debugging routines in your Dashboard:
s2Member -> ClickBank Options -> Account Details -> Logging/Debugging.

Next, please post a link to the page where your ClickBank Button is displayed, so we can review it for you, and when possible, submit your log entries for review. We can help you take a look at those and make sense of what's happening exactly.

Jason,

I didn't set up a payment because this was a test payment.

All the same, here are links to the logs:

Thank you. After reviewing your log files, it appears that your ClickBank Buttons are/were missing the important s2 Vars, which are implemented automatically by s2Member's ClickBank Button Shortcode for WordPress. Did you integrate your ClickBank Buttons with s2Member? Or did you do them in some other custom way perhaps? Please try generating your ClickBank Buttons with s2Member.

Hey Jason,

Thanks for looking into this.

As I said, this is a TEST payment, which ClickBank requires I make before submitting my product for final approval.

To do a test payment, I have to set up my thank you page within ClickBank and then use my HopLink (not s2Member's payment button) and their test credit card credentials.

So, essentially, I'm trying to get the test payment to work.

Thanks for the follow-up.

I understand. Your HopLink should be directing visitors to your Pitch Page ( i.e. your Membership Options Page ), or your main site, where a link to your Membership Options Page is made available somewhere. Ultimately, a TEST sale is submitted to ClickBank through your s2Member-generated ClickBank Button, generated by your s2Member ClickBank Button Shortcode, just like a Customer would do from your site.

Reference article: http://www.clickbank.com/help/vendor-he ... -vendor/#6
ClickBank says: To make a test purchase, go to your Pitch Page and click your payment link or Buy Now button as if you were a customer. On the ClickBank order form, enter any address information you want, along with the test credit card information we provided on the My Site page.

Oh man...this was totally moot - I had the wrong ClickBank nickname in...d'oh!

Everything works swimmingly now.
