When a customer tries to login it doesn't re-direct. However if the customer hits another page above they are in.
What's the problem? Also, why is there so many problems with this plugin?

to the member area....
when the customer tries to login, the s2member plugin doesn't re-direct them to the next page. no error messages... it just freezes. It also does it for my login now. It's been doing it for a week.

Okay, with freezes you mean that the browser doesn't work anymore?
What do you do to un-freeze it?

just go to the top of the website and hit on another page. Once I do that, I'm in.
It's pretty mush as if it's waiting to login but it doesn't do anything.

Please try again and tell me to what URL it's trying to redirect you to, you can find that in the statusbar of your browser.
Also please try what is on this thread:

Have you got any plugin, besides s2Member, that sort of tries to take over the registration/login process.
Could you post a list of plugins you have.

Have you got s2Member PRO?
If you do try uninstalling "Sidebar Login" plugin and under WP Admin -> Appearance -> Widgets activate the PRO login widget.
P.S. Don't worry we are getting closer.

Have you tried dragging it to every one?
If nothing works look under WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Pro Login Widget via PHP.
Hope this solves your problem.
