New User not being added.

Hello, S2member has been working marvelously for the last year.

Today though I had a new member sign up in which I received payment but the new user did not get added to my members list.

Any idea what may be causing this, or where I should first look to what may be causing my new member to get aded to s2member list?

Thank you.

Take a look into the S2mamber Paypal options Account Details and see if ALL the fields are correctly filled. I had the same problem and needed to fill them (it worked before but who knows).

Everything was there, just to make sure I readded all the fields. Is there a way I can test this without having to pay?

I've had two new members out of 20 also fail in the last month and a half. Their PayPal subscription setup is successful. I get the messages from PayPal that everything is fine and dandy, but they never get an email from s2Member and it never sets them up with a WordPress user account. It is sporadic to. It will work on most days, then just randomly fail.

So don't think just because it tested out to work fine once that it is permanently fixed.

I'm able to manually create their WP user account using their PayPal subscription ID and registration IP address. But I need to permanent solution, because I dont' want to support this organization sites manually for ever. I need to know why its randomly failing. It seems like PayPal is not sending the code back to s2Member randomly when some random new users sign up. What could cause this?

I have no blank fields in the s2Member PayPal options. PDT Auto-Return is On. IPN Notifications are On.

Could you post the related log entries please? x'ing out any private info. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details -> Enable Logging

Unfortunately, the Logging was not enabled at the time of the two failures. It is on now, so if we get another failure I can post.

Does the log keep track of every time someone clicks the paypal button, even when someone does not purchase?
I get a new log at different times and I was curious why?

I believe you're correct,
but just post about it when you have an error.

Wow if I can get a buyer for every time someone clicked on the button I would be very happy :)

The question now is how to turn them into customers. If they went that far it shows some interest.

I don't know that s2Member logs clicks to the button. To track that you'd need to customize.

If you have a way to get back to them, then you could stay in touch and bring them back. The simplest would probably be to have them register free first, for free content, have the order button show for logged in users only , and log in some way when they click it, maybe pointing the button to a custom script first that'll log it and then forward him to PayPal.

I hope that helps. :)
