Members messing up with Paypal

I have a member that did not log into his username before signing up for a paypal subscription. So he is paid up but username needs to be updated accordingly. It looks to be easy to manually add the relevant information to his username. There are only a couple things like Paid Subscr. ID that seem to be missing.

I assume you guys designed S2member with the idea that this would happen. So it is as straight forward as it appears? Anything else I need to know?

I thought that asking would be better than me messing something up. You guys have been great with answering questions for new customers. Thanks

It appears the member in question has a different IP address for their paypal payment. He has one ip address for his username and different one for his paypal payment. Everything else is the same. What does this mean for S2member? Do we have to change the ip address to his paypal ip address that the payment was made under?

this is the only difference we can see. thanks

I'm not sure about the IP address, but to have s2Member work with PayPal on that user, like knowing when he cancels the subscription or stops paying, you need to add the gateway and subscriber ID to his profile.

If instead of a subscription it's a one time payment (buy now) then also add an EOT time (yyyy-mm-dd), unless he's supposed to have indefinite access.

I hope that helps. :)

Thank you Christian. That is what we assumed. We will quickly find out if the IP matters! If it does I will report it back.
