Is it possible to delete a user and re-use the exact same user name?

Is there a setting in s2member that is preventing me from doing this?

I set up s2member for a client-portal implementation per the video tutorial

However, I deleted a client user name thinking I could just re-create it under the same name and I've been stymied. Thank you in advance for your help.

I haven't had a problem in the past deleting users and then creating new accounts with the same names when doing tests.
