Not sure how to post this, so just diving in. Happy to take correction for the procedure in future.

Having gone through the ccap videos, it occurred to me that while I'm comfortable doing surgery on my functions.php file, there are others who aren't, AND that if/when I should decide to change themes at some point in the future, I'll probably forget to move that custom code over.

Wouldn't a complementary plugin solve that issue (or eventually an expanded capability of the primary plugin)? Even if we had to cut and paste (or retype) the tags, cats etc in, then update it/click save to add those to the list. It might offer a custom redirect for specific tags (or whatever) as well, as I anticipate have multiple sales pages after a while.

Just a thought, I'm sure I'm not the only one with those potential issues. :)

You could try adding the hack in a must-use plugin like /wp-content/mu-plugins/s2hacks.php. http://codex.wordpress.org/Must_Use_Plugins
