How to give paid subscriber admin access?

Postby pcscweb » November 12th, 2011, 11:01 pm

I'm running a community with paid subscribers, some of whom also server as site administrators. Is there a way to give them access to the S2Member admin menu while keeping them in the same Membership level as other paid subscribers? I tried to use the S2Member custom capabilities feature, but that does not recognize WordPress-defined CC values like 'edit_plugins'. Upgrading them to the Administrator role doesn't work because it removes their EOT entry.

I think you just go to the members tab, select a member, and upgrade them to admin.

s2Member doesn't manage access to the admin side of WordPress. :|

You can play with editing their role to give them more capabilities that'll let them do what you want, though. https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/user-role-editor/

I hope that helps.
