Even when using the pro-form and offering to pay by credit card, Paypal seems to be the "processor". Is there a way to bypass Paypal completely and ONLY use the credit cards?

If you're using PayPal to receive the payments, PayPal will be the processor, even if they don't pay with funds from a PayPal account. And if you're using PayPal, the PayPal funds always have to be an option. If you just want to get paid with cards and not have PayPal show, you'd need to use Authorize.Net, but that doesn't have buttons.
Does it answer the question or did I misunderstand it?

It probably does answer. I had not realized that *I* was being paid by paypal. The question simply came from someone who was mentioning that if a site is built, has numerous customers and then gets sold (for whatever reason), the new owner cannot keep the customers who were scheduled to pay (like a membership) through Paypal because they wont transfer from one owner to another. So, i was wondering if it was possible to not REQUIRE the use of paypal, although i can see that paypal should always be an option.

Ah, I see your problem. What you explain is similar to selling a business, which includes the bank accounts. I guess that in this case it'd be a matter of finding out how the PayPal account could be transfered to the person purchasing the membership website.
