Plugin installs OK, but links are 403

I believe I've installed s2Member plugin correctly. Even tried it on two different sites (both are hosted at WebHero.com)

However, when I choose the s2Member dropdown in the dashboard, any link I click, such as "General Options" brings me to a "Sorry - Error 403 | This Page is Forbidden " page. Any ideas on what I'm doing incorrectly?

In fact, I've taken out All plugins, so I don't think it's a plugin conflict.

Hi larrystick,

It sounds like a permissions issue on the server. It's possible the s2Member Plugin files have the wrong permissions and/or ownership.

Use FTP to check the permissions and ownership on a file for a working plugin (inside wp-content/plugins/) and then compare those to the permissions and ownership settings for the s2Member plugin files.

How did you install the s2Member plugin? If you installed it using WordPress (WP Admin -> Plugins -> Add New), then I suggest deleting the plugin and installing it via FTP (manually upload the s2member folder to wp-content/plugins/; you can grab the s2Member ZIP file here).

If you used FTP to install the plugin, then try installing it through WordPress.

Can you let me know that works?

I'll give the permissions trick a try.
I initially installed the plugin using FTP.
When that failed, I removed it.
Then tried installing it through WP Admin -> Add New
Also failed.

Might be something with WebHero's shared hosting. I'll let you know.
