Page restrictions don't seem to take effect

I just installed s2members on a test site running on my computer. I configured all the general options, currently trying to use just level0 to provide access to some content only to registered users. So I restricted one single page to be accessible only to level0 and above but it doesn't seem to work. I open an incognito window (or a separate browser), go to that page and I can view it (rather than redirected to the signup page). Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Did you log-out of your account before doing the test?

Yes. In any case, I found something that we fixed it - there is some option to instruct the s2members that it is running in a localhost. Apparently it is needed if the port is different than 80 (which is the case here). After adding this instruction it now works...
