Forbiding users to change their email

Postby Dimitris73 » November 25th, 2011, 6:05 pm

Hello.
I would like to forbid users to change their email in the profile modification page. I would like them to keep the one they have registered with (The same way they are forbidden to change their username).
I still want the profile modificarion page because I want them to be able to change their password and other info.
Is this possible?
Thank you

Maybe, if you customize the forms so they don't allow edits to that field. You could just show the email address as text, but not inside the input field, for example. I haven't checked how easy or hard this customization would be, though.

If you don't know how to do it yourself, I'd suggest heading to a freelancers website like oDesk.com or eLance.com to post the job for a developer.

I hope it helps. :)

Thanks Cristián. But I'm not sure it is worth hiering someone...
All I want is the e mail field not to show up in the profile modification page. How hard could that be?
