Page access restriction

I'm using s2member to protect some pages with vidoe-lessons, but as I'm trying to reach those pages from outside there is no protection. It semes as if I can reach the pages from anywhere. I logged out and tryed, I used my smartphone and I could reach theme from there to. What is wrong? I have looked into it over and over again but can't find a solution.

Hi Gert,

Can you tell us how you protected the pages? Did you use WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options -> Page Restrictions? If so, can you tell me which boxes are filled in and what you put in them?

When I used another computer it worked fine and I phoned my son and he tested it and worked fine there to. So, my qestion is then: Is it working with the IP number so it recognice the computer or do the buers have to use the link every time they wan't to reach the pages?
Is this as safe as if they had to fill in usernames and password?
Thanks!

Hi Gert,

You said "do the buyers have to use the link every time"... can you tell me what link you are referring to?

They recieve a link when they have payd to gain access to the restricted pages. It looks like this: http://tinyurl.com/cbqwus5#fotoutbildning.com. What I wondered was if it is in any way restricted to one computer (IP adress) or if anyone can use it anywhere? You are used to a user name and a password and I wonder if this is as safe as a passwords?

Hi Gert,

You can set the IP access restrictions in WP Admin -> s2Member -> s2Member Restriction Options -> Unique IP Access Restrictions.

If you're still worried about sharing of the link, you may want to use Usernames/Passwords instead.
