Custom registration form without paypal

Hi All,

Firstly thanks to everyone for your help lately, my first website using s2member pro is almost ready to be delivered and go live!

I've upgraded to pro today and used the short code [s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form register="1" level="0" ccaps="" desc="" custom="newarkbus.scobib.co.uk" tp="0" tt="D" /] to add a registration form to this page http://newarkbus.scobib.co.uk/about-the ... -a-member/

However, when you try to submit the form is says "PayPal® configuration error. Please configure your PayPal® Email Address.". I don't actually want to use paypal - the website is free to join... how can I stop this - do I need to use a different shortcode??

Cheers,

Zoe

You can see these threads about not using PayPal at all:

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Eduan, but neither of those really answer my question - I want to keep the registration form looking how it is but not have this paypal error as my membership is free...

So you want to use Pro-Forms to offer free access at different levels?

Then you can use a free registration pro-form, you can find them on the same page you find the rest of the pro-forms, I think it's at the top.

You don't need to setup PayPal for this at all.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi Eduan, I can't find a pro-forms section in the admin... only Paypal Pro-Forms...

Cheers :o)

Yes sorry, you still go to the PayPal pro-forms but you don't need to set up PayPal in order to use the level 0 pro-form.

Well, that's a little annoying as my client does have, nor needs paypal.... Would it work if I entered paypal sandbox details do you think?

To use the level 0 pro-form you don't need to set up PayPal at all, you can just use the form and you won't need to fill any of the PayPal details. But for the level forms you do need to fill the PayPal info.

Hi Eduan, the issue is now with what the form looks like, its a problem when you submit the form, please read my original post, all the details are in it:

"I've upgraded to pro today and used the short code [s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form register="1" level="0" ccaps="" desc="" custom="newarkbus.scobib.co.uk" tp="0" tt="D" /] to add a registration form to this page http://newarkbus.scobib.co.uk/about-the ... -a-member/

However, when you try to submit the form is says "PayPal® configuration error. Please configure your PayPal® Email Address.""

Cheers,

Zoe

If you only use the free registration pro-form and don't need to receive PayPal payments elsewhere in your s2Member installation, you can just enter fake account details and the warning will go away. WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal Options -> Account Details and probably PDT too
