'Unexpected txn_type/status' error upon IPN request

Hi! I was hoping someone might be able to help me out with an issue about which I know practically nothing. I just set up Paypal to handle sales of individual pieces of content on my site using Buy It Now/Specific Post or Page (I'll be upgrading to Pro and CCBill for memberships as this is an adult site). When attempting to purchase the item using the sandbox, I get the error: "Unexpected txn_type/status." Can someone please point me in the right direction on this? I read another post here about this error, but it ended up being an issue caused by a lack of item number. I don't think that's the case here. I'm using the default item #72.

PS: I think it has something to do with the button generator. S2Member isn't detecting my protected pages for some reason and so I added the link to the button code myself. Hope that helps.

I figured out how to work the shortcode by hand and make this work. but I'm still curious as to why the button generator doesn't recognize my protected pages. Any thoughts?
