Buddypress Activity Stream = Membership Hole?

Hi there,

A couple of members have reported that they can see the activity of people in groups they themselves are not a member of. Sure enough, they can. I removed the 'all members' tab in my activity index.php theme file, but they can still see the activity of friends that are in groups they themselves are not in.

I'm not sure if this is something s2member can/should address - I also notice that even though when the group is set to PRIVATE the activity is popping up, which seems wrong to me, so I'm also asking at the Buddypress.org site for assistance.

Thanks,
Daisy

Hi Daisy.

Yeah, this is not something s2Member addresses, although you can probably hack it to do that, like you did other custom things before. :)

I hope the BuddyPress guys can give you a hint about where to look or edit.

OK Thanks - I do have the URI restriction on /activity/ - that clamps it down for people not logged in at least. I'm not the only one with this problem, but at least others HERE should know that s2member isn't responsible for this hole and that it DOES exist ;)
