few tips for future updates

Postby hellboy78 » December 7th, 2011, 12:36 pm

Hi everyone,

I would like to suggest few tips for the future updates,

IP restrictions:
I think the best solution is to permit only 1IP at once,
the user can change his IP address many times in one day, in particular if he use mobile connection,
but, to prevent password sharing, I think the best solution is to void more than one IP at the same time with same username.

EOT:
I try to understand how works,
I would like to manually add users at level1, but I want to give them 30 days of membership,
I still try to understand how it works.

Thanks
Juri

IP Restrictions:
OK, you can under WP Admin -> s2Member -> Restriction Options -> Unique IP Access Restrictions set it so that it only accepts only one IP, this is totally configurable to how much IP Adresses can use the same username/password at the same time.

EOT:
EOT stands for "End of Term" meaning that once the EOT ends then the user's license will expire, he will need to buy another one or leave it like that.

Hope this clears something up. :)

Hi

thanks for your answer.

IP restrictions:
I can set the restriction in this way
"allow up to (number of IP) per customer (every 30 days)"
how I can change "every 30 days" into "same time"?
if I can do this, the solution is perfect for me.

EOT
I have created one user manually and I put into EOT "+1 month"
is it correct? is it automatically turn off the account after 1 month?
can I see after one week a different term into EOT? like +3 weeks?

I have found where to change "30 days"

$concurrency = apply_filters ("ws_plugin__s2member_ip_restrictions__concurrency_time_per_ip", "30 days");

may I change it into "same time"?

someone can help?

What do you mean by "same time"? Do you mean no simultaneous logins? If so, s2Member doesn't do it (at least yet) but there are other plugins that add that. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sea ... ogin&sort=

I hope that helps. :)
