Hi Jason,

Just upgraded to the latest version of S2 v111206 and for some reason thw WP admin bar has disappeared for all users except admin?

Is this something you have noticed?

It's fine for admin, just not any other members of any other level.

Any ideas,

PS. The list transition problem with Mailchimp not removing users from old lists when they are transitioned to new is still happening in this version too.

Regarding the WP Admin Bar...
What version of WordPress are you running right now please?
WordPress v3.2.1 + s2Member v111206?

If you're running that combination and still having issues with the WP Admin Bar, I would take a look at your other plugins. I can confirm that s2Member v111206 works nicely with the WP Admin Bar on WordPress v3.2.1, and also in WordPress v3.3, which will introduce further improvements in this regard.

WordPress v3.3 will finally standardize the WP Admin Bar into something plugin developers can work with. s2Member v111206 takes full advantage of these improvements in the coming release of WordPress v3.3.

That being said... WordPress v3.2.1 has also been tested against s2Member v111206, and should also work just fine. If you're experiencing problems, I would suspect a plugin/theme conflict somewhere. Perhaps disable one other plugin at a time, or try the default WordPress theme to rule s2Member.

I tried to see if the issue would go away by deactivating all plugins but BP and by using the default BP theme. The issue was still there.

However, having updated to WP 3.3 and BP 1.5.2 today, the issue with the admin bar has gone and it is now visible for all members.

No idea where the conflict was in BP 1.5.1.

Sorry I couldn't get to the bottom of it!

Great to hear WordPress v3.3 resolved the issue for you.
If you want to get to the bottom of this in WordPress v3.2.1, I would suggest working with a freelancer to run a debug backtrace. You will need someone who is good with PHP and can diagnose plugin conflicts. I would start by searching all of the source for each plugin that you're running, for this WordPress Action Hook: admin_bar_menu. Any plugin hooking into that WordPress action could create a possible conflict.

I think the 'Secure Wordpress' plugin was also causing a conflict with the admin bar.

All works great in V3.3 now though, so I'm happy to roll with it.

Just need to get to the bottom of this MC transitioning issue.
