Membership with no recurring fees

Hi.
I have a unique situation (perhaps) -
I want to give people access to my membership site (level 1) after they bought a product, and without recurring fees.
How do I create a PayPal button for that?
(I bought the Pro version)

Thanks!
Yifat

So you mean like, they pay for your product and they get access to the entire site once they can access the product?

Almost.
They get access to all the level 1 info.
Different products will give them different access.

Does that make sense?

Yes, that makes sense, and it's perfectly possible with Custom Capabilities. For more information on custom capabilities check this video: http://www.s2member.com/custom-capabilities-video/

In which Jason explains how to set up and use custom capabilities.

Perfect! I see how to create the button, but it doesn't force registration to the site, and doesn't redirect to the product page...
Where do I control those?

It does force that the person has a certain custom capability, if you protect that page.

You can use the success="" attribute if you want the button/pro-form to re-direct to a specific page after registration/payment is completed.

You can find out more about the success="" attribute under WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal® Buttons -> Shortcode Attributes ( Explained ).

Or if you're using pro-forms you can find about more under WP Admin -> s2Member -> PayPal® Pro Forms -> Shortcode Attributes ( Explained ).

Hope this helps. :)

One more question...
So people can register, and they receive the confirmation email saying they've registered, but not the follow up email with their login info to the site.
When that email DOES show up, the link in there is time sensitive, and when I click on it (even just after I got it) it says the link has expired.

Where do I change these?

Oh, and also - is there a way to show only part of the post and force registration for the rest of it?

If TinyURL is causing you trouble with the expiration, you can change the shortening service to another one. WP Admin -> s2Member -> General Options -> URL Shortening

Yes, you can have part of a post show and the rest protected using conditionals. WP Admin -> s2Member -> API / Scripting -> Simple/Shortcode Conditionals

I hope that helps. :)
