Upgraded Plugin, Lost Pro

For some reason my user name/pass do not seem to be working, because they were not accepted when I went to upgrade my Pro module and I can no longer log in to the site either. I've tried user name as well as e-mail address. It doesn't recognize me.

Thanks for your help!

Have you tried resetting your password through the Forgot your Password link?

Ok, did that. Got in and downloaded the zip file. Went to upload it in Wordpress and got the attached message.

Thanks yet again,
Andi

Now that I dig into it further, there is no s2member-pro directory in wpcontent/plugins. Just s2member, which I'm not about to delete.

Hi ridesabike2,

The s2member-pro addon cannot be installed through the WordPress Admin.

You'll need to download the s2member-pro.zip file to your computer, extract it, and then upload the s2member-pro folder to your wp-content/plugins/ directory manually via FTP.

Simply uploading the folder and refreshing the WP Admin is enough for the s2Member plugin (the free plugin) to detect that you've added the Pro module.

When you upgrade s2Member in the future, the plugin will detect that you have the Pro add-on installed and it will ask for your s2member.com username/password so that it can automatically upgrade the Pro add-on for you (that way you don't have to go through this process each time you upgrade).

The Pro add-on uses an upgrade process built into the s2Member free plugin. The Pro add-on doesn't use the WordPress Plugin Upgrade functionality like the free part of the plugin does.

Does that make sense?

Excellent. Thanks again! I have updated before in the past, but for whatever reason this time it didn't like my password and kicked me out. We're back in business!

Give me a day or two. Haha! I guess I might as well ask, is there a way to notify members of their renewal date like a month out, then 2 weeks out, etc? Like an automatic reminder e-mail?
