Do Teens Use Paypal?

I have a very successful fan club for teens and would like to convert this WP site into an S2 Membership site with Paypal.

Before I take this step (converting from a free site to a Members-Only site with locked content) - I would like to get some feedback from other S2 users on this topic - ie. Is it possible or practical to try to build a paid membership site if your target audience (currently have close to 500 Aweber signups) is around 14-16 years old?

I wonder how many teens in my targeted audience would actually have access to a Paypal account, and what other users' experiences have been with getting paid memberships from the young set?!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would say that if your target audience are teens in USA, then you don't have any problem, since in USA there's PayPal Student Account, and if they don't have one you can put a link to the page that introduces them to it.

Now a thing to keep in mind is that you have to put prices that will be within their budgets.

I'm basing this on experience from myself when I was about that age.

Hope this helps. :)

It really does help, thanks!

I'm thinking of making our membership $1 a month - $10 a year if they pay up front - how does that fee sound to you in general *(yes, we do create and provide content!).

It sounds very good, actually!
If they really want to be part of that club they will pay it.
