Multiple EOT question

Postby cassel » December 29th, 2011, 1:14 pm

I have two courses i am selling on my site. Course One has a lifetime duration, Course Two has a limited 6 months duration, and will have an offer to go with a monthly subscription after the 6 months (it started only 4 months ago, so i still have 2 months to figure this one out). Since so far, s2M handles only ONE EOT, does it mean that if someone registered to BOTH courses, when the 6 months expires for the Course Two, it will remove the access to the Course One too?

If so, is there a workaround this as i dont want those with a lifetime access be kicked out after they reach the 6 months period of the other course.

Correct: the auto EOT will be applied to all access. A way around it would be to have auto EOT disabled and you'd have to remove access by hand from those accounts that stop paying. That, to me, seems the best way to go about it until s2Member can handle separate EOTs. We're already working on improving this don't have a date for it yet, probably 2-3 months ahead, not sure.

Thanks for the info. So far, what i did was add the date of the registration in the comment area at the bottom of each user profile. I also found that it was a good place to add things like errors in the paypal emails (which means i could not find a paypal email) or a free membership given (since i have no other indication anywhere). I guess i will use that. Thanks (but anxious to get a new version of s2M that can handle that, and i am sure i am not the only one!)
