I saw all of the tutorial videos and I kinda understand things. But this topic was not really covered. Plus I have searched the web and the forum, but I can't find anything that handles this issue.

From my understanding, a level 0 member is a registered user. level 1 is a paid user, etc.

I need to have level 0 as a 'guest' and level 1 as a registered user. why? because the 'guest' (unregistered user) will be able to download from the level0 directory and the registered user (level1) will be able to download from the level1 directory.

How can I specify that a unregistered user is level 0...and a registered is a level 1? Please let me know how I can set this up.

Thanks

The level 0 is not considered an unregistered user, level 0 is a registered user, in normal WordPress it would be called a Subscriber.

Level 0 is the unpaid level, though it is still a registered user.

You might wanna check this video on how to configure the download restrictions:

Hope this helps. :)

If you want guests to download a file, you wouldn't put it in the directory for Level 0 files, just upload it where it won't be protected by s2Member. :)
